ARTSHACK DEBUT NOVEL
IN!
Joe turned the key in the lock of Artshack. With a twinkling creek the door slowly opened.
The light inside shot straight towards Alex.
He screamed for his entire life and then some...
Without thinking he grabbed hold of Joe's hand, looked straight into Joe's eyes and said simply one word "TOGETHER!"
They both walked over the threshold. Alex tuned to look at Joe and started to grin!
The first thing he noticed was how dusty it was. Cobwebs lived upon every surface. Beautiful in all their splendour!
Forgotten was at the very heart and soul of Artshack...
The second thing he noticed was that under the dust, all the colourful artistry of Artshack was still shining brightly.
She was simply hidden, ready to be brought back to life...
Alex stood there in silence..
"Pretty cool isn't She Alex!"
"Yes. Like Snow Whites Cottage. All she needs is a broom to clean. Then she is good to go!
Alex had absolutely no idea what on earth was going on here, within his beautiful Seafield Woods.
All he was sure of was that he needed to be the very next owner of Artshack.
He turned to Joe and asked him who was the Owner....
"I have absolutely no idea Alex. We tried to find out her history. We found nothing. Nothing at all! No deeds. It is almost as if she belongs to herself!"
Alex turned to Joe and said "I have grown up exploring Seafield Woods."
"How did you find her? Artshack in Seafield Woods, when I never could!"
"Enchantment I guess!" Said Joe and laughed!
"Seriously, that story, unlike the heart of Artshack is quite simple!
A Property Tycoon was looking to buy Seafield Woods. After months of negotiations, the deal was ready to be signed. However, at the midnight hour, he did a moonlight flit, never to be seen again!
It was some days later, when some of my colleagues came up to Seafield Woods. One of them walked down the undiscovered path, pushed back the bushes and discovered ARTSHACK.
Fast forward months on. You are the very first person who we thought was suitable to own her. She isn't for everyone!"
"How much is she up for sale for?"
"FREE TO THE RIGHT PERSON!"
"I beg your pardon!" said Alex, looking ultimately bewildered!
"We purely need someone who knows Seafield Woods. Who can bring her back to her glory. She isn't for the faint hearted as you can see.
"You seem the perfect fit!"
"Thank You!" said Alex
"Make sure you look after her. You can move in this Friday. Give you time to pack up all your belongings."
"This Friday!" Alex nearly fainted on the spot.
"Where are you living in Seafield?" Joe asked.
"I live in a small flat, along at Seafield Cove, around ten minutes drive away."
"Fantastic!" said Joe. "Not too far to move then!" He said, grinning even more...
"I know this is one absolute hell of a shock for you Alex. However, Artshack is way far beyond conventional. She is very special. She needs a very special person to own her.
"IT IS GOING TO BE YOU ALEX!"
They shook hands. The deal was sealed. The deal of magnificent consequences...
