THE DAY THE RAVENS CAME
(In My Living Room)
She stood there a lonely figure on the hill,
Clothes tattered through the wind and rain,
Confused was She, what in His head was he hoping to gain?
She wanted His love, He wanted only nothing,
Knowing it was no use, She decided to let them in,
Broken hearted was She, the day the ravens came........
With one huge swoop of its enormous wing,
The shadows came and strangled her heart,
It stole her days and brought the nights,
Those days of laughter long and gone,
Aching inside for something She couldn't get back,
Broken hearted was She, the day the ravens came.......
Where there was passion, respect and grace,
Now lay a trough of emptiness,
Her only hope now, was the love for herself,
the darkest nightmares, leave the darkest outcome,
She was half of a whole that didn't match,
Hoping of all hope, her dreams to catch,
Broken hearted was She, the day the ravens came.........
I cannot tell you what happened to her,
For here is a story within a story,
We cannot choose our crossroads of fate,
Some paths are gently trodden on and some are hard,
Go my sweet maiden, be brave and follow your heart,
Don't wish for dreams, don't expect anything,
The day the ravens came was just 24 hours,
Let those ravens fly, don't become their nightmares of tomorrow
LET THEM GO!!!!!!
